Power of Sacred Places

Ahhhhhh....pictures at long last....I finally found away to incorporate pictures to my posts...FINALLY...I had to do something because I still can't figure out how to share my photo album I created....ugh....

The subject of the day is places of worship...yes that is what is in the book...places of worship and the inspiration they bring....

So today armed with two cameras and one of my daughters, I or we rather, set off on a picture expedition to capture places that I worship and reach out to the Divine, other then my home, and what inspires me spiritually....

At first I wasn't sure where I wanted to go...so we sat in the car and stared out the window...hmmm.....where to begin.....and then it hit me!

So sit back and enjoy the show....(it's not a slide show, I haven't figured that out yet so clicking and scrolling of the mouse on your part will be involved AND the picture sizes may be alittle unusual and inconsistent..)...alrighty then, Let's get started....

I don't go to church....not anymore anyway....

....And no I didn't lose my way or my Faith...nothing that dramatic....

....I just simply believe that some people, out grow their church or church as a whole...

 

Don't get me wrong...I love churches...I love to sit in them alone, silent...but it's a Happy Surprise if I catch a Choir practice...but for me, Spiritually evolving often takes place outside the church these days....

...this is my church....I live a surrendered life...a life surrendered to my Divine Creator.....

...and I am in Awe.....

Some of my favorite places of worship are empty churches where I converse with God one on one...other times its the cliffs by my house were I can sit and stare off into the vast ocean spread out before me and let my mind drift out to sea....even out on my very own front porch in the wee morning hours, you know, that time of day when it's not quite morning but it's no longer night, where the sun lights the space around you like the amber glow of a candle....ahhh...peace...sweet surrender....I also love my parents home when I visit, I love it best in the evening as the sun goes down and the stars come out, I stand out on the front porch and rest my gaze on the mountains laid out before me and soon I see the stars dancing between, over and around the mountain peaks...beautiful...Yes these are my places of worship...
