Day 9

Theme Scheme
Evening! Can you believe it? I'm blogging before midnight...Yeah!!!
So as I'm sure you guessed by the title, that day 9 is about working up a theme...
In her book the "Crafter's Devotional", Barbara McCall talks about developing a theme and shares some tips and tricks from collage artist Olivia Thomas.
Ms. Thomas suggest picking a topic....I personally think Halloween is a EXCELLENT topic...but it can be anything...an emotion like joy or sorrow, food maybe fruit, a trip to Italy or Colorado....whatever moves you.
Once Ms. Thomas decides on a topic she then selects a color scheme that flows with her topic. She chooses 3 - 5 colors, she also gathers images and various details to incorporate into her art piece.
So with that in mind I pulled together some "Theme Schemes" to share with you...I hope you'll be inspired...
PLEASE NOTE:( I just hate to have to say this but it only takes ONE bad apple...since I Trust that the big portion of all who come here are honest, I must apologize for what I'm about to say and PLEASE know that it does not apply to you...the bad apples know who they are.... I DO NOT condone PIRATING of ANY sort...it IS illegal AND morally WRONG....I also believe in KARMA Good AND BAD... Please recognize that the information shared, the images shared by other Artists as well as my own are for the SOLE purpose of Inspiring Creativity and not for stealing...Thank You )
The GORGEOUS graphic paper in this piece is "Tim Holtz" idea-ology, some of the color paper is "Prisma" paper...I'll be using this Fabulous theme in my own project that was inspired by Barbara McCall's book....Truly Lovely!
The Fantastic and Nostalgic vintage photos page is also a Tim Holtz design from his "idea-ology" line...once again some Prisma paper is used to coordinate this theme...I will be incorporating this Memorable theme into my project as well...
This truly Wonderful paper is apart of Graphic 45's Halloween collection featuring none other then "Alice in Wonderland"...Love It! It as well has been coordinated with some Prisma paper....
This Whimsical "Tag" paper is also designed by "Graphic 45" and again from their Fall/Halloween line...can't WAIT to use it! (These tags would make GREAT book markers, just add some pretty beads and ribbon, vintage if you have it...)
So these are just a few of my own inspirations in theme...I hope they inspire you...
Blessings & Joy,
Alexia
